About Kevin Thomas
Kevin is the founder and CEO of Songwriting Planet, which provides video courses and training to help aspiring songwriters reach their musical goals. He is the author of Melody Madness, a book that explores in meticulous detail ways in which songwriters can master the often-elusive process of melody writing.
Kevin Thomas has written, arranged, performed, produced, and recorded the music for half a dozen CDs. His songs have had national and international radio airplay. He has performed every style of music imaginable with groups all over the U.S., toured in southern Europe, and has composed and arranged compositions for orchestras.
Additionally, he is also currently an adjunct university music professor at Maharishi University of Management (MUM), and has been vice president of the San Diego Songwriters Guild, a lead faculty member at the San Diego School of Rock, and Head Instructor at the world famous Songwriter Seminar.
Kevin has degrees from the best contemporary music colleges and universities in the world. He has a Masters Degree in music composition from the University of Miami; a B.A. with honors with a dual major in songwriting and music performance from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and he is a graduate the world renowned Musicians Institute, (MI), in Hollywood.
Kevin is currently writing music for his next CD, and developing new video courses for Songwriting Planet, while teaching individual guitar, bass, singing, piano, and songwriting lessons in San Diego, and worldwide on Skype. He is also actively performing in several different bands locally, while anticipating upcoming concert dates with the release of his next CD.
